Lift-Off Panels

Most Cell Guarding consists of a series of extruded aluminium profile posts, bolted to the floor, and removable framed panels.

Item have a number options available for:

• Post Type
  • Usually line 8 80x40 light profile
  • Line 6 60x30 profile as a lower cost option if lower strength is acceptable.
• Floor-Fixing Methods
  • Adjustable Ball Feet
    • Fits to either line 8 or line 6 posts.
    • Compensates for uneven floors.
    • Eliminates the need to accurately drill fixing holes in the floor.
  • Folded Steel Foot
    • Height-adjustable foot which compensates for uneven floors.
    • Robust design is particularly effective at absorbing impact.
  • Adjustable Stand Foot
    • Height-adjustable foot which compensates for uneven floors.
    • Additional side-brace is an option where lateral support is required.
• Panel Type
  • Mesh Panels: black powder-coated welded steel or woven aluminium/steel.
  • Transparent Panels: polycarbonate, acrylic or PET-G.
• Frame Type
  • Clamp-Profile 8
    • 40x40 extrusion with deep slot for locating panels.
    • Uses screw-down L-strip ideal for fixing steel mesh panels.
    • Steel clamping-strip especially good for fixing aluminium mesh panels.
    • Lip-seal for locating solid panels.
    • Accepts panels up to 8.5mm thick.
  • Clamp-Profile 6
    • 30x30 extrusion with deep slot for locating panels.
    • Light-weight alternative to line 8 clamp profile with associated cost savings.
    • Options as for line 8.
    • Accepts panels up to 6mm thick.
• Hanger Type
  • Clamp-Profile Hanger
    • Integrated with the fastening set of the clamp-profile framework
    • Can be used with line 6 or line 8 options.
    • Simply hook over the hanger which is then secured by simple adjustment with a spanner.
    • Ideal for one-man assembly - holds panel positively in position even before final fixing operation.
  • Hanger 6-8
    • Can be used for a combination of line 6 and line 8 posts and panel frames.
    • Fitting position can be varied to suit the customer's needs.
    • Final fixing achieved with a simple grub screw.
    • Ideal for one-man assembly - holds panel positively in position even before final fixing operation.
  • Hanger 8
    • Robust design for panels that need to be removed regularly.
    • Variable fixing positions with final fixing by cap-head screw.
    • Ideal for one-man assembly - holds panel positively in position even before final fixing operation.

Protective-Enclosure System

For Protective Fences where panels need not be removable the Item Protective Enclosure System is the perfect solution:

• Deep-slotted line 8 profiles allow fixing of mesh and solid panels.
• Process-free fastening techniques are used saving on machining costs.
• A number of different feet are available although the Adjustable Stand-Foot provides a particularly elegant solution.
• Modular hinges provide a number of alternatives for incorporating opening doors.

Dual-Rod Mesh System

Where budgets are particularly tight, the Item Dual-Rod Mesh System provides the answer.

This system utilises a very simple method of Safety Fence construction whereby line 6 or line 8 posts are fixed to the floor and very rigid 8mm welded-steel panels are attached by means of a very versatile hanger which has a number of features:

• Slotted design allows for lateral adjustment.
• Rotating locator compensates for misalignment of posts.
• Hanger used for fixing two panels.
• Rotating feature allows use as a hinge.
• Suitable for attachment of 25mm mesh size and lower cost 50mm mesh size.
