X-marks the Spot: Latest New Products Perfect for Clean Rooms

The latest new products from item feature a range of aluminium extrusions and accessories designed with clean-rooms in mind. The profiles are made with the absolute minimum corner radius possible, resulting in a very smooth transition across connections. This makes cleaning a much more straight forward task, particularly when the completely closed groove versions of these new Line-X profiles are used. Steel Profile System Launched

The world leading item MB-System has now been expanded with yet another first: a profile system made from stainless steel. Using a patented construction which adds to the rigidity of the product, it has been cleverly designed to accommodate line 8 components from the aluminium profile system.

Online Catalogue, CAD Data and Quotations

The item product catalogue is now available as an on-line resource. More than just another on-line brochure, it is linked directly to item's database, this is more than just another on-line brochure. Each of the huge number of components has it's own individual page, with access to additional information at the click of a button. This includes:

Technical specifications and images.
Load calculator - calculates deflections for given loads and profile lengths.

CAD Data - various formats are available, in 2D or 3D, with the user selecting from a list of possibilities, including DWG, DXF, IGES, SAT and STEP.

Suggested additional components - helps the user to remember to order other products likely to be needed.

Assembly instructions for more complex components - downloadable for storing locally.

Shopping basket - the user can build up a shopping list in the now familiar on-line way, and send off an enquiry for quotation.

Flat Belt Conveyors Launched

elcom conveyors are now available from Machine Building Systems. Unsurprisingly based on item profiles, these motorised flat belt conveyors are available in widths of 20,40,80,120,160,200, 250, 300 and 400mm and come with a choice of side guides and the option of either end or centre drive. Several motor mounting orientations are also available, making these conveyors the natural choice either for incorporating into machines, or as stand-alone production equipment.
